A Bridge between China and the Rest of the World

Happy Holiday wishes to all, from the RASBJ!

Dear RASBJ members and friends,

As 2015 draws to a close and many people prepare for holiday travels, we'd like to thank all of you for your loyalty and support over the past year. RASBJ concluded its 2015 roster of 20 events with a pre-opening viewing of 3D photographs taken in North Korea, accompanied by an intimate QA session (and a delicious lunch) with the artist and the gallery owner.

For those of you who are not yet members (or whose memberships are soon to expire), we hope you'll renew and strengthen your commitment to the RASBJ in 2016. We already have a strong lineup of the sort of unique events in which we specialize:

   -- on Jan. 20 we've invited entrepreneur-turned-filmmaker Zhang Wei to show his critically acclaimed film "Factory Boss" and to discuss his work with the audience;

   -- in April Matthew Hu has agreed to once again lead the adventurers among us on a out-of-town excursion to a site of historic and architectural interest;

   -- also in the spring, RASBJ is scheduling a panel discussion on the convergence of Western medicine and Chinese Traditional medicine;

   -- William Lindesay O.B.E., who last week launched his new book "The Great Wall in 50 Objects", is planning to host RASBJ members for a weekend visit to the Wild Wall sometime in the first half of 2016.

Please join us for these and other fascinating activities. Check out www.rasbj.org for event notices and membership forms/details. We wish you all safe and happy holidays, and look forward to seeing you in 2016!
